- An instant employee drug test is considered "confirmed positive" when a certified drug testing laboratory uses a more definitive form of testing such as GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) to confirm the result. To ensure an instant employee drug test will hold up in court, all employees who test positive when using an instant drug testing kit should then be confirmed positive by using a laboratory Confirmation or Confirmation with MRO Services.
