Employee Drug Testing Information for Saliva Alcohol Concentration - SAC

Glossary: Saliva Alcohol Concentration - SAC

SAC
Saliva Alcohol Concentration
Saliva Alcohol Concentration (SAC) gives an approximation of relative blood alcohol concentration. It is well established that the concentration of alcohol in saliva is very close to that in the blood. Saliva is therefore the preferred specimen for alcohol testing, allowing for greater detection sensitivity than breath testing methods.
